Privacy policy

Brandwatcher is operated by Includable, established in the Netherlands ("we"). This policy explains what we store when you use brandwatcher.app and the dashboard, and why.

What we store

  • Account data. Your name, email address and sign-in details are handled by Clerk, our authentication provider. We do not see your password.
  • Organization data. The organizations you create or join, and the email addresses of their members, so that alerts reach the right people.
  • Brand data. The domains you tell us you own, the lookalike stems we watch, and the results of our checks: registration status, registrar, creation and expiry dates, nameservers and when they changed. This is public registry data about domain names, not personal data about you.
  • Billing data. Subscriptions and payments are handled by Stripe through Clerk. We never see card numbers.
  • Email you send us. Messages to hello@brandwatcher.app are forwarded to our mailbox and kept for as long as needed to reply.

What we do with it

We use this data only to run the service: checking domains on the schedule you see in the dashboard, emailing you when something changes, and billing your organization. We do not sell data, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on the website or in the dashboard; the only cookies are Clerk's session cookies, needed to keep you signed in.

Who else processes it

  • Amazon Web Services (EU, Ireland) hosts the service, stores the data and sends our email.
  • Clerk provides sign-in, organizations and billing.
  • Stripe processes payments.
  • Amazon Bedrock (Anthropic Claude) receives your domain names, and nothing else, to suggest lookalike stems when you ask for them.
  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this website.

How long we keep it

Brand and check data is deleted when you delete the brand, and everything belonging to an organization is deleted when the organization is deleted. Account data is deleted when you delete your account in the dashboard. Backups are removed within 35 days.

Your rights

You can see and change your data in the dashboard at any time. To export it, correct something we cannot show you, or delete everything, email hello@brandwatcher.app. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will email account holders before the change takes effect.
